Personal Background: Bennitta, a former Law School National Team Trial Champion, began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the New York County District Attorney’s office, where she personally tried over a dozen cases to verdict and sustained a high conviction rate. After leaving the office she focused on litigating a variety of civil cases with a primary concentration in civil rights cases.
She brings a substantial breadth of knowledge and an uncommon passion for trial work that leads to winning substantial verdicts for her clients. Within less than a month of joining our firm, Bennitta along with her co-counsel Alex Coleman sustained a hard fought verdict against the New York City Housing Authority based on a violation of the Plaintiff’s first Amendment rights.
Bennitta was born in Brooklyn, raised in Canada and currently resides in Brooklyn with her husband and son.
