Sonia Saravia v. Check-Mate Industries, Inc. et al, Case No. 064137-2014

On May 30, 2014, Lead Plaintiff Sonia Saravia on behalf of herself and those similarly situated filed a class and collective action lawsuit in the Supreme Court of the State of New York –County of Suffolk vs. Check-Mate Industries and Edward Kruger. Ms. Saravia worked as a factory-line worker assembling various products for the military and medical industries. Ms. Saravia alleges she worked ten hours per day five days per week, but Defendants failed to pay spread-of-hours pay for days where hours of work exceeded ten hours per day and fail to provide accurate wage statements in violation of New York Labor Law, and New York Compensation Codes Rules and Regulations. Spread of hours pay entitles a minimum wage worker to an additional hour of pay for shifts which exceed ten hours per day. If any person worked for the company or individual named as a Defendant in the lawsuit during the time period of May 30, 2011 – May 30, 2014 or has information that may be relevant to this case, contact Borrelli & Associates, P.L.L.C. as soon as possible through our website or by calling: (516) 248 – 5550, (516) ABOGADO, and (212) 679 – 5000.
