$1,100,000.00 – Wage & Hour Violations – Firm represented a collective of employees and former employees against Promise Home Care Agency, Inc a home health care agency for unpaid, overtime wages in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and New York Labor law (prior post upon action commencement located here: https://www.employmentlawyernewyork.com/news/latest/cert-case-no-18-cv-04502.html. Generally, the Plaintiffs contended that the Company subjected them to working over twelve hour shifts and whenever they exceeded 40 hours a week, the agency only paid them straight time. Additionally, Plaintiffs argued that Defendants failed to provide Plaintiffs with accurate wage statements on each payday as the New York Labor Law requires.
