Omar Bhutta v. Vanchoc Transport Inc., d/b/a VTI Transport Case No. 15-CV-3333 (ERK) (RML)
On June 8, 2015, Lead Plaintiff Omar Bhutta on behalf of himself and those similarly situated filed a class action lawsuit in United States District Court – Eastern District of New York vs. Vanchoc Transport Inc., d/b/a VTI Transport. On February 9, 2015, Mr. Bhutta used his personal credit card to purchase a van rental at Defendants’ Brooklyn, New York business, which provides vehicle rental services. Mr. Bhutta received a paper receipt at the point of sale, which displayed more than the last four digits of the Plaintiff’s credit card number as well as the entire expiration date, in violation of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act.
