Pjeter Gjoni v. Orsid Realty Corp., 145 East 15th Street Tenants Corp., and Gerard Mounic, Case No. 14-cv-8982

On November 12, 2014, Lead Plaintiff Pjeter Gjoni on behalf of himself and those similarly situated filed a class and collective action lawsuit in United States District Court – Southern District of New York vs. Orsid Realty Corp., 145 East 15th Street Tenants Corp., and Gerard Mounic. Mr. Gjoni worked for Defendants as a building superintendant from July 2007 through September 2014. He alleges that he worked fifty-five hours per week through his employment. However, Defendants failed to pay Mr. Gjoni the proper minimum wage and the proper overtime compensation at the statutorily-required overtime rate of pay for any hour that he worked per week over forty hours per week as the New York Labor Law, New York Compensation Codes Rules and Regulations, and the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act require. In addition, Defendants failed to furnish Mr. Gjoni with accurate wage statements on each payday and wage notices at the time of hire and/or on an annual basis as required by the New York Labor Law.
