Nance v. The City of New York, et al. Docket No: 24-CV-08228
Firm represented a female employee against The City of New York for race, sex, age and religion discrimination, as well as retaliation for engaging in protected activity. Specifically, the Plaintiff alleged that the Defendant discriminated against Plaintiff due to her race and/or sex and/or religion and/or age by subjecting her to a hostile work environment, refusing to accommodate her religious beliefs, and retaliating against her for refusing the sexual advances of a superior and for complaining about said discrimination by significantly reducing her ability to earn overtime, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination Employment Act of 1967, the New York State Human Rights Law, and New York City Human Rights Law. After filing a complaint in the United States District Court of Southern District of New York, the Firm negotiated a settlement of $150,000.00. Anthony P. Consiglio handled the matter for the Firm.
