On June 5, 2014, Lead Plaintiff Julio Velasquez on behalf of himself and those similarly situated filed a class and collective action lawsuit in United States District Court – District of New Jersey vs. Armor Automatic Fire Sprinkler Corp. and Nicole Deluca. Mr. Velasquez worked for Defendants as a fire sprinkler mechanic installing fire sprinklers at various job sites. He alleges that he worked shifts ranging from ten and a half to eleven and a half hours per day, six days per week but Defendants fail to pay the statutorily required overtime rate of pay for each hour worked per week in excess of forty hours in violation of the New Jersey Wage and Hour Law and Federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
