On May 12, 2016 Lead Plaintiff Loren Richardson on behalf of himself and those similarly situated filed a class and collective action lawsuit in United States District Court – Southern District of New York vs. Regeis Care Center, LLC, and Chaim Sieger. Mr. Richardson worked for Defendants, a nursing and rehabilitation center. Plaintiff worked for Defendants from November 2012 through November 2015. Defendants required Plaintiff to work, and Plaintiff did work, at least fifty-five and one half hours per week. However, Defendants allegedly failed to pay Mr. Richardson for any hours worked after forty at any rate of pay or the proper overtime compensation at the statutorily-required overtime rate of pay for any hour that he worked per week over forty hours as the New York Labor Law and the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act requires.
