On March 2, 2017, Lead Plaintiff Anthony Collins, on behalf of himself and those similarly situated, filed a class and collective action lawsuit in United States District Court – Southern District of New York against Anthem Productions, LLC d/b/a Anthem Sound, Stage, and Lighting, and Angelo Poulos, individually. The complaint alleges as follows: Mr. Collins began working for Defendants around June of 2013 through September 2015. Throughout each week of his employment with Defendants, Plaintiff worked in excess of forty hours per week. However, during his employment, Defendants failed to pay Plaintiff the proper overtime compensation at the statutorily-required overtime rate of pay for any hour that he worked per week over forty hours as the New York Labor Law, New York Compensation Codes Rules and Regulations, and the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act requires. In addition, Defendants failed to furnish Mr. Collins with accurate wage statements and wage notices on each payday.
